PE & SPORTS PREMIUM
2025-2026 Sports Premium Funding Strategy
Physical Education (PE), at Bardwell CofE Primary School, is an integral aspect of school life. A fundamental aim within our school is to encourage every pupil to participate fully in PE lessons as well as developing a love and enjoyment of being physically active. Pupils in KS1 and KS2 all receive a minimum of 120 minutes of physical activity every week.
PE and School Sports Funding
The government is determined to ensure a lasting legacy where children will become physically active and have the skills, knowledge, and motivation necessary to equip them for an active, healthy lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport. In order for this to happen and to improve the provision of sport and Physical Education (PE) in primary schools, a large amount of funding has been put in place, called sports premium.
In our school, this funding has totalled £16,520 for this academic year. Our Sports Premium Strategy can be found using this link.
