STAYING SAFE

Following an NSPCC 'Speak Out' workshop, our dedicated House Captains felt we could do more, as a school, to help young individuals equip themselves with the knowledge and understanding required to stay safe from abuse and neglect.

Therefore, they have recently developed a system called 'Speak Out Safe' where children are encouraged and taught to speak out if they are worried.

Children can speak with their respective House Captains (who wear a t-shirt with respective house colours on) during playtimes.

The House Captain's receive regular training from Mr. Francksen (the Designated Safeguarding Lead); their ultimate goal is to able to train children up themselves so that they feel empowered to 'Speak Out' should they feel they ever need to.

As part of this programme, children, from across the school, are regularly taught the ChildLine number.
